Owing his success to his grandfather, Gary Remlinger, an astute businessman whose father started Remlinger Farms in 1965, Nathan J. Sherfey inherited the 350-acre family property in Washington and has served as its owner since 2019. In addition to being a working farm, the business offers families a refuge for fun and excitement with amusement rides, entertainment, u-pick fields, corn mazes, and up-close and personal interactions with farm animals. On top of that, Remlinger Farms includes educational school tours, a market, an annual fall festival, and a brewery taproom. Grateful that his grandfather laid the foundation for him to take off and succeed, Mr. Sherfey—despite his youth—possesses impressive intellect and education, which, combined with his grandfather’s wealth of experience, elevates his business acumen to heights.
Outside of owning and running the family farm, Mr. Remlinger has found success as the senior property manager at Meadow Creek Properties since 2017. He previously contributed as a partner at Rustrum Development Inc. and a project manager at Carnation Estates. He has also honed his financial expertise with experience as a corporate finance intern at Coastal Community Bank, a finance intern at The Retirement Solution Inc., and an intern at State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. Additionally, he has been extremely active in his community—sponsoring live events, volunteering on mission trips with the local church, and co-founding Bottles for Benefit. Since 2023, he has been a board member of the SnoValley Chamber of Commerce and Snoqualmie Valley Preservation Alliance.
Since he took the reins at Remlinger Farms, the popular destination has been recognized with the Best Family Farm in Washington State award by Evening Magazine and KING-TV for three consecutive years. Looking toward the future, he strives to expand the farm into a grandeur, reminiscent of Knott’s Berry Farm.
